Holly Palance in Ukraine

What happened new in my life last time? Last week I had possibility to meet a famous American actress Holly Palance. She is Jack Palance's daughter. People in the world knows him like a very famous Ukrainian Actor in Hollywood who got The Oscar Award and they named him "Ukrainian cowboy". 

Holly went to Ukraine because she wanted to see our village Ivane Zolote. It is the village where her grandfather Ivan (Johne) Palagniuk lived.

Holly and her husband Robert Wallace were in Zalischyky 15th of September 2017. They met with their relatives - a cousin Lidia and her family.

Then Americans had meeting in Museum of our town Zalischyky. They saw many interesting things in exposition about history of our town and about biography of Vladimir Palagniuk and his famous brother Jacke Palance.

At that day Holly Palance with her husband and relatives were meeting with people in Ivane Zolote. They were very excited when saw each other. Many nice words, Ukrainian songs and beautiful flowers were around us at that great day.
Holly Palance spent great time with teachers and students of the School in Ivane Zolote.
She visited in The Ukrainian Catholic Church in the village and spoke with a priest about her grandfather Ivan Palagniuk. This Church was founded in 1895. So maybe relatives of Holly Palance were among founders of this Church. Many times during this trip in Ivane Zolote Holly said: "It's so beautiful!"

Husband of American actress and journalist Holly Palance - Bob - was invited on meeting of members PEN-club in Lviv like a writer. So, Holly was very glad to went with him in Ukraine and visited wonderful motherland of her grandfather.

By the way, I think that Holly is very beautiful in her 67 years old. Her soul is young and she is young too.

It is great to know that American people think about Ukraine and want to know more about our country. Jack Palance was a perfect father, I think so. Ukraine lived in his heart. And Jack's daughter knows about Ukraine. I am sure, Holly Palance will love our Ukraine too!
